Day of the Dead Community Event 2011

The 2011 Day of the Dead Community Event will be a week long event held at Global Gallery Coffee Shop in Clintonville, coordinated by Latino Arts for Humanity and Global Gallery. The schedule of events planned for the week of October 29th through November 5th is as follows:

Saturday, October 29th

Altar Exhibition, Face Painting
From "Evolved Body Art" Artists: Andy Ringo, Joe Schmoe, Chris Borchik, Marah Stain, Oliver Martinez, Joe Stevens and Chad Allison
Artist Santos Gonzalez will show how he brings old furniture and wood pieces to life by recycling and painting them
Center for Latin Hope Paper Skulls Exhibition
First Unitarian Universalist Church of Columbus sugar skulls

6:30pm Rodolfo Vazquez Musical Performance
7:30pm "What is the Day of the Dead About?"
8:00pm Art of Hosting Conversation by Ruben Herrera

Sunday, October 30th
